2022 Annual JG Fundraiser Has Started

It’s summer! The one time of the year where we reach out to all of our supporters, adopters and those who love the breed to help us continue helping our favorite breed for yet another year. Without your financial gifts, Jacks Galore would not be able to do the work we do. This has been an exceptionally difficult year for everyone, and we’re hoping that some of you will still be able to continue helping us move forward with our mission to help those little white terriers move on to loving families. Just some of the cases that kept us […]

Mr. Duke – JG to the “Rescue”

JG comes to the rescue!!!  Literally!! A one-year-old little male Jack Russell Terrier is now under the care of Jacks Galore. We agreed to have the dog signed over to our rescue and will bear all financial responsibility to help him heal. It is still touch and go; we hope that he’s going to make it so he is able to lead a full and happy life in a new home. JG mom spoke with the vet on Sunday and at this point, we’re still monitoring his condition.     Taken to an emergency vet and finding himself in a life-threatening […]

More Rescue Sadness

Domino landed on our doorstep because of the alertness of adopters and longtime supporters, Bob and Lisa in NY. Would we be able to reach out to a rescue in New York to take a senior Jack Russell in dire need? We left the job to Bob to reach out and to see if we would be able to help Domino come to Jacks Galore. Looking at the photographs he was obviously failing, a mere skeleton of his former self, a senior in much need that had come up from the South to be adopted up north. After 2 months […]

Happy Father’s Day

Once a year we celebrate all the dads, those of two legged and four-legged children. Here at Jacks Galore our dad has four-legged children and is well known as JG dad. The most amazing man when it comes to taking care of the rescue’s four-legged critters, there is no dog that he has not loved no matter their character, temperament or age. Every Jack that comes through our doors waiting for their forever home is offered the opportunity for long morning walks by this man, often times up to 5 miles should the dog require it. Sometimes they even need […]

Funddrive Coming Soon – Why We Need To Raise Funds

Tota is a good example of why we are preparing for our annual fundraiser.     Her situation is quite sad, as she was a mental health service dog to a young woman with severe autism and was her constant companion for the last 6 years. Adopted by her family at age five from a shelter, she proved her worthiness being stable, calm and devoted. Sadly, the young woman needed to move into assisted living and was not able to take her dog. Terribly difficult circumstances prevented Tota from remaining in the home. Tota is 11 years old, extremely sweet […]

Cullen Becomes a Sanctuary Jack

Jacks Galore has decided that Cullen will be coming into the rescue’s sanctuary. This most delightful Terrier will become part of our extended family and join our pack of lifers. WHY?  Despite him having an enormous amount of energy, very playful, curious and so wanting to be with you, he does have some major kidney issues that we fear will make it uncomfortable for people to foster or adopt. He has quite a bit of “leakage” at night totally unaware of the problem, we know this will be unpleasant for anyone to have to deal with the continuous cleaning of […]

Bea, A Perfect Rescue

Bea’s story is a success story of the purest kind. Pack of Jacks, one of our rescue partners in West Virginia, works very closely with some local shelters who turn to us when a Jack Russell is in need. Along with husband Clint, boys Bear and Ellis, the 3 jacks and the cat, they foster and nurture the Jack Russells that come through their doors before sending them on their way to Massachusetts. Occasionally Chelle and JG mom change course and we wonder what’s best for a particular Jack that lands in her lap. So, when asked to take in […]

2021 ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

It’s that time of year again, our annual fundraiser to keep the rescue moving forward. Once a year we do ask you all to support our efforts, make sure that we have enough funding for the year to bring in Jack Russells that are looking for their forever homes. Whether abandoned, surrendered by individuals for personal reasons, shelters asking us to take in a jack in need, or those jacks that Animal Care and Control takes in. We try not to say no. We do not discriminate against age, their health status or personality; we just do whatever we can […]

Father’s Day

Father’s Day is certainly a time to thank all of the men in our lives who mean a lot to each of us as individuals, but also to those men who do so much for the community, society, children of any age,  and of course for the dogs in our lives too! I hope that all the men who have been fathers to any living creature and cared for them are celebrated today. I know there’s one man in JG mom’s life who is very important. Who every day, continues to care for all of the four-legged children in his […]

Cosmo Now Safe with Jacks Galore

Third time a charm. Cosmo, a senior male Jack Russell terrier of diminutive stature, had his life saved twice after his owner abandoned him not once, but two times in two different parks, in two different states because “he was old, pees everywhere and I do not want him anymore”.     First, he was found at a park in RI, brought to an animal rescue, and then reunited with a family member after countless media postings.  According to the rescue, he was so happy to see his family again.     THEN, he was found running down a main […]
