Happy is an 11-year-old “Jackzu” cross. A neutered brown and white rough coat male with an undocked tail, who weighs a sturdy 17 pounds. He is a low rider. His personality is definitely a Jack Russell but the under bite is a Shitzu!
Happy we will say is now truly a grateful dog. Originally adopted from the MSPCA, the adopter living with her grandparents left and did not take her dogs with her. They were then brought to the Boston animal care and control who reached out to us. We have worked with this wonderful organization before and gladly took in this little fuzzy dog who desperately needed a dental, and then find him that forever home.
The first thing our vet did was hand him to our dental vet tech who took care of his dental disease and left him with seven teeth. All around an extremely healthy little dog now with nice sweet smelling breath. An incredibly gentle and kind dog, he is very well housetrained. Happy loves to go for walks, preferably on grass or a smooth road surface, because the little rocks tend to poke his pads. He walks beautifully on the leash, travels very nicely in the car and absolutely adores everybody.
Happy is GREAT with all dogs, and wags his tail whenever he meets one. Currently in the sanctuary with six other Jack Russells (and a large lab), he is waiting for that forever person to give him all the attention he longs for and definitely deserves. He’s not much into ball tossing or toys, but he wants to follow his person around and be part of the action, but does not beg. A very quiet dog, we have never heard him bark and he tends to sleep on and off during the day which you know by his snoring.
A companion who still has a lot of skip in his step, and is willing to give as much love as any person would want. Happy will still keep you active and be very good company. Apply to Adopt Happy
