Gizmo is an 8-month-old tri color female Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross who weighs a very dainty 10 pounds. With long legs, an undocked tail and the most amazing ears that catch every sound possible.
Gizmo came to us from a hoarding situation where she was left with her littermates and other dogs in one room for the beginning of her life. The most amazingly smart little dog, she is sweet, loves other dogs, and has one switch – on/off. This little Jack Russell mix loves to play.
Most excellent at entertaining herself, she has been in the sanctuary with the other dogs and is a delight. This little mix takes correction very well from the other dogs when they have had enough of her playing. Gizmo is housetrained, and wants nothing more than to be active, and love her people.
Not quite yet mastered leash walking, but she hasn’t had much training either. As smart as she is, that will come very quickly. Gizmo is always up for an adventure, and relishes chasing the ball, leaves, butterflies, bugs and playing with toys and snuggling on her hooman’s lap.
We truly want her to go to a home with another dog that keeps her active and very busy playing, as well as a fenced yard as she is a zoomer. She can run around the yard through the dog door and through the house at 100 miles an hour. She’s a hoot, she’s quick, she’s smart, and she has the cutest little face in the world. And those ears? They are delightful.
