Ellie

Ellie is a 1 ½-year-old brown and white smooth coat female Jack Russell Terrier weighing a lanky long legged 13 pounds. Ellie came into our care with her half-brother Jeb, when a family with a health crisis contacted one of our rescue partners. Their owner, with terminal bone cancer, is in a family coping with small children and care of the home.

These two lovely, and very much loved pups needed to find a safe spot to land. Jacks Galore was hoping for them to remain as a pair since they are very bonded, but after many months hoping for a forever family match together, we have decided sadly to offer them up for adoption individually so they may move on with their lives.

Ellie was purchased from a breeder the family knew. This girl is still very puppy, very very high energy active! She loves to destroy things when her energy needs are not met. Somewhat shy to start she is very loving, friendly and soft with her humans. Ellie warms up quickly when she knows her people.

Extremely athletic she walks great on a leash, and is a prey driven terrier. Ellie is housetrained, crate trained and does well in the car. There is no doubt Ellie with her half-brother Jeb were very much a loving part of their family. This JRT needs to find a secure spot once again where she can thrive and continue to enjoy much activity, play and affection.

Ellie is very dominant and plays rough, but happily with her partner Jeb. Another dog would have to be highly playful and full of energy for it to be a match. She can be selective. Ellie can play chase forever, never tiring out.

A fenced yard is truly imperative for this JRT so she can run enthusiastically. Ball chasing also seems to be something she enjoys, although retrieving is not in her repertoire!

A very loving gentle jack, who deserves to be in a home once again. Apply to Adopt Ellie
