Piper

Piper is an 8-year-old smooth coat, mostly white with tan, female Jack Russell Terrier. Piper weighs about 16 pounds.

This girl came to us when her breeder closed her doors and we gladly accepted her into rescue. It is obvious that she has had a few litters, and because of that seems to be quite neutral about other dogs.

Piper is very kind and gentle with people, and was an excellent well behaved patient at the vet. Piper rides quietly in the car, appears to be crate trained, but like any Jack Russell is not happy when confined for too long.

This JRT walks beautifully on leash and definitely prey driven. Piper likes to check out any rock walls or woodpiles for any critters that might be lurking. This little Jack has not shown any interest in playing ball or being interactive with toys to chase or tug, but does enjoy tearing stuffies apart and chewing on Kongs and antlers to keep herself busy and distracted. Piper appears to be housetrained, and definitely well behaved, but frustrated in the kennels.

Being part of a family and loved is what Piper deserves.  With patience and time will definitely reward any person who gives her the chance to blossom and come out of her shell. She will reward anyone who adopts this girl.
