Spike

Spike is a 2 ½-year-old tricolor rough coat male Jack Russell who weighs a solid 16 pounds. Spike came to us through no fault of his own, because of a family situation where he could no longer remain in the home. Spike was very much loved by his former family. We so very gladly took this little dog in because of his stellar personality.

Spike is all Jack Russell. He can play ball all day long, and loves squeaky balls and toys over anything else in the world. Shredding things is his main joy, and dog beds are certainly not something he will want because he just likes to tear them apart. To combat this we put stacks of blankets in the kennel for him to snuggle in and be comfortable.

Spike is extremely well behaved, beautifully housetrained, and enjoys rides in the car. Spike is not a fan of other dogs; he is a very dominant boy and would rather not live with another companion. Being around other dogs is fine as long as he does not have to socialize.

This Jack is great with people, and enjoys being paid attention to. A great leash walker, he can walk for miles and keep you walking at a delightfully comfortable pace, stopping to smell and check out the surroundings. A dog with a lot of enthusiasm and tons of energy, exercise is the main goal for this dog but he’s very comfortable being loved on and cuddled as well.

A beautiful Jack Russell looking to find that forever home who will keep him very active and offer lots of love and affection. Might this young JRT be the dog that takes your heart?   Apply to Adopt Spike
