In permanent foster forever more, a jack who has a hard time handling what life throws at him, a dog who needs peace and quiet with and smart jack people who can offer him what he needs. We will allow Colin to be calm, relaxed and not ask much of him so he can be comfortable in his surroundings. A better choice for this jack.
Colin is a confused jack who’s not sure why he’s lost his home. A 4 year old tricolor smooth coat male of about 18 pounds, Colin came to us at Jacks Galore when he was no longer able to handle the turmoil of an infant in the house. With one family since he was a pup, when mom became pregnant things started to go downhill, and when the baby finally arrived a year ago things did not go well.
Colin had a meltdown and could no longer handle the life he was given. Colin is a people jack, a loving, very well housetrained, well-behaved dog. He is not so great with other dogs even though he did live with their senior female jack since a pup and got along with her fine, but here he seems not to want any dogs and finds them all rather a bother, so we think an only dog life might be best for him.
He rides lovely in the car, does OK in the crate and has enormous energy. This was a key factor in his being frustrated in his previous home once their lives changed, since not as much attention and energy were devoted to him. This jack loves to chase the ball, loves tug toys, and can swing from your arms for hours. He walks very well on a leash and enjoys the long walks in the woods that offer him a lot to explore and investigate.
Colin is a dog that needs your attention, your love and your desire to keep him busy. He’s a beautiful jack with a grace and strength only a jack can show. Are you that special someone to allow him a quiet life, but busy and active as he likes to be? Please consider Colin as your mate, he’ll thank you for it.
