Being Thankful on Thanksgiving

Jacks Galore has an enormous amount to be grateful for, 19 rejected jacks, a beagle and a chihuahua, to call our own (yes, but they do not ALL sleep in the bed), wonderful dogs waiting to be adopted into their forever homes, a huge emotional support system in the dog community we have been working with these last 12 years, a family that knows we are crazy; but best of all readers and Facebookers like you. Dogs should dress the part

Hunting season is in full swing in the Berkshires of MA and many other states, so walking in the woods means using caution. We dress the jacks in bright orange vests and wear them ourselves. There are lots of sources for safety vests, but we’ve found that smaller ones that fit a jack are hard to find, at least at decent cost or quality. Zoe, Tiny Firecracker

Zoe was ADOPTED and went home to PA with her new mom, dad, and new dog pal Sammy, a very VERY large dog.  It was love at first sight for everyone.  A life with her retired fur parents, playing with her new four legged friend and an enormous amount of love and attention.  Upon arrival at her new forever home she jumped into dad’s lap and gave tons of face kisses as if to say, yep I am here to stay!!!!
