Optimistic Odie

ADOPTED!!!!  A Good Samaritan jack owner on Long Island saw his face, her heart melted: she had to intervene.  Odie the jack’s days were limited, his number up.  How could that be?  4 years old, healthy and kind – she had to step up to the challenge and save him. Her first foray into saving a dog long-distance proved very cumbersome, difficult and time-consuming but she persevered.   Jacks Galore was asked to find him a home and help with logistics to speed up the process.  We were able to help with some close rescue contacts, who in turn had connections […]

Name your Girl – and PUPPIES

It all started when a sweet little jack came into our fold and needed a name.  How could we let her give birth and not know who she is?  Puppies, stray jacks in a shelter, those left behind without their name given, a new start for a new home: some jacks need to be given a name. Jacks Galore has had several female jacks that had to have their identity restored so we gathered names from your Facebook suggestions, and if we’ve missed any please let us know so we can add them to the list. In this case a […]

We Came and Then………Adopted!

Why did we get adopted before we even got on the website?  Well, sometimes rescue moves very fast.  Jacks Galore (JG) encourages anyone interested in adopting a jack now or in the future to put in an application with JG because sometimes we get jacks that match up perfectly with what applicants are looking for, and they see the pictures and say yes.  The result: a quick adoption. Matching applicants with the right jack is our mission, a goal we take pride in.  There are so many jacks in need that we have a long waiting list of those wanting […]
