Rambunctious Roxie

ADOPTED!!  Roxie was adopted to a wonderful busy family who took this darling little girl all the way to Maine to enjoy lots of room to run and people to play with, but best of all a mom who works from home.  Spoiled and adored will only be two of the wonderful things Roxie can look forward to her in her new and happy life.  Cautious at first, her new family all bundled up in winter garb, she soon realized treats were to be had, belly rubs ever offered and a young boy to play ball with, what more could […]

Macy and Buster’s mom left this earth and they are now displaced and temporarily living with a kind friend of the family; but this is but a short-term solution. Macy, a lovely white rough coat 11-year-old female champion jack, has competed in many a race at terrier trials, go to ground, and lure coursing and is ribboned to prove it!! Buster, a black and […]

The Cost of Rescue

Where does the money go, what is it spent on? These are two of the many questions rescues get when it comes to what people’s donations are used for. As with any rescue the major expenses are vet bills, medications, dog food, toys and treats. Some, like Jacks Galore, also have transport costs to bring dogs to safety. There are always incidentals: helping another rescue in need; paying a vet bill so a dog can stay in its home; purchasing some dog food and supporting the fosters that hold dogs for a time or forever as in the case of […]

The Season for Gratitude

This is the time of year we show our gratitude for what we have, the moment we share the bounty of the season with those most dear and closest to us and give to others who are less fortunate.   It is a time to reflect on the year past, on what we gained, lost or accomplished. We here at Jacks Galore ask that you not only love the jacks you have, hug them, care for them till they can take no more, but also reach out to others in understanding that they might need your help and support. Please […]
