Lexi is a two-year-old tri color, smooth coated female JRT with an undocked tail who weighs about 16 pounds. A very high energy, ball playing bossy pants girl, she is one big love machine and adores everybody.
Lexi came to us when she was given to someone who realized once they took her, was unable to keep up with her needs. This dog requires lots of exercise, and needs to be in a secure fenced yard as she has found ways to dig out and run off to explore the neighborhood. This dog was very much loved, and it was very difficult for her mom to surrender her, coming to Jacks Galore when she realized there was no way that she could help her expend her energy in the proper way.
While she’s been here she’s been going for long walks, spending time playing ball and now has a roommate who keeps her busy. Lexi gets along with male dogs as long as they recognize that she’s the boss, but will absolutely not tolerate another female. Lexi walks really well on a leash and keeps a wonderful pace for her long hikes; she’s extremely well housetrained and rides quietly in the car. She’s fine in a crate and would prefer not to be in one, but there’s also no need since she’s extremely well behaved and so wants to please.
A little JRT with lots of enthusiasm, an enormous capacity to love, and is a lot of fun to be around. She just wants to be with humans and be active and loved; in return she will provide you with an enormous amount of Jack Russell fun.
